DAVID HICKEY is a Managing Director of Datanet International, and one of our senior consultants with over 25 years experience in the telecommunications field.
He specialises in the design, implementation, and project management of major communications networks and distributed systems. He has particular expertise in the areas of voice/data communications, internetworking, X25, X400, and in managing large network implementation projects. He is also experienced in corporate finance activities relating to telecommunications companies.
Prior to joining Datanet, David worked for six years as a telecommunications engineer with Eircom (Telecom Ireland), after obtaining an honours BE in Electronic Engineering from UCD. In the recent years, David has worked with US public corporations expanding into Europe.
Through the projects which he has been involved with, David has gained extensive experience of wide-area voice/data communications, PABX technologies, LAN-WAN interconnection, Internet infrastructure and applications services, as well as corporate development and strategy, with specific experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and financing.
